Andy, I really like this song. I can relate to the secret life of lives, as I am the secret wife of a news reporter who chooses not to divulge he actually has a wife. ( Now that’s complicated!) Anyway, I love the way your voice shares the secrets.
Thanks Erin. I’m looking forward to your song this week.
Sorry I missed last week. Work was ridiculously busy, but I am still writing. Everything doesn’t end up on the skirmish. My newest skirmish “Escape” is on my playlist for this week, as I am playing in a local songwriter’s round on Tuesday. I hope to get some good soup vibes for this week. Already wrote one about soup, which is my office-mate’s code word for sex. So….had any good soup lately? That’s our joke!!! Hey, and “Stinky feet” is getting it’s debut at an ER nursing conference here in Virginia in a few weeks. They will love it!!!
Prompt: Out of your league
Escape, by Erin Reeve
Lonely street, lonely life
Homes for sale, urban blight
Kids all wonder what to do
What can they look forward to?
Get a job, convenience store
Fall for the guy next door
Have a […]
Lots to do, and I’m kinda sorta mailing this in but it’s better than not playing at all, right?
Was a statue
In the small city
It’s quite small
Right on!! Very to the point of the prompt. Tells a nice story about a family outing and appreciation. The melody compliments the story. Good work for a quick take!
I’m so busy with work, not having time to do my own prompt. Maybe get to it later.
Fun song, even though you just considered that you were mailing it in. Didn’t know Metropolis existed, and for that fact, in Illinois, as well. Thanks for your mail. Enjoyed it. Interesting chords, as well. I liked them, metalfoot!
Find an interesting photograph and tell the story behind it. Remember to post your photograph.

Just redid this one in BIAB, now that I’m learning to use it.
I’m supposed to be at my uncle’s funeral at this very minute. I can’t be because of distance and family needs here.
